Q: How long is Presto’s magic show?
A: For preschool-aged kids, Presto’s show usually lasts 35-45 minutes.
Q: What does Presto need the day of the show?
A: Presto brings everything he needs for the show, including a backdrop and sound system.
Presto requests:
1. A parking space as close to the performance area as possible (for loading/unloading).
2. An electrical outlet.
3. Happy kids!
Q: What does it mean when Presto says he is a “professional kid’s magician?”
A: Presto the Magician is a full-time, professional kid’s magician. This means he works full-time at entertaining kids! It’s not just a hobby or something he does on the weekend! Presto attends workshops and conventions in addition to other professional development to constantly improve his show and audience management techniques! He has the expertise that comes with having performed for tens of thousands of kids over a period of several years. He even does those little things like sanitizing his props regularly!
Q: When do I pay for Presto’s show?
A: Payment is due immediately following the performance. Payment may be made via cash, check, or credit card. Checks should be made out to “Kevin Witt” or “Presto the Magician.”
Q: Is there anything unsafe or inappropriate in Presto’s show?
A: Absolutely not. Because Presto specializes in performing for kids ages 3-8, Presto doesn’t perform anything with fire, knives, or other “scary” themes (like lions and tigers, and bears, oh my!). Presto also avoids face makeup and masks which may frighten small children. In fact Presto even avoids so-called “potty humor” to ensure all audiences can enjoy his show.
In addition, Presto’s show does not include latex balloons, peanuts/peanut butter, or other common allergens.*
* Presto’s show may occasionally feature live animals including rabbits and doves. While these animals may play a part in the show, children are generally not permitted to pet or handle them and they are kept a safe distance from children, limited to the performance area. However, if there are known allergies, please alert Presto beforehand to ensure everyone’s safety!
Q: What is Presto’s performance like?
A: Presto’s magic show includes a combination of age-appropriate magic, hilarious comedy, music, and fun! Presto uses colorful props and presents his magic in a high-energy, gag-filled show. Kids get very excited during Presto’s show, and there may even be occasional jumping up and down, dancing, and yelling with excitement, but Presto always keeps a handle on the fun!
Q: Does Presto perform outdoors?
A: Presto does not typically perform outdoors. Outdoor shows have more noise, distractions, and adverse weather that can affect the show. Children, especially young ones, are too easily distracted by noises, airplanes passing overhead, and bugs flying away, that they won’t fully enjoy the show. For everyone’s enjoyment, Presto requires preschool/daycare performances to be held indoors, unless prior arrangements have been made.
Q: Does Presto guarantee his show?
A: Absolutely! “I guarantee that the children I perform for will enjoy the show and be entertained. After all, that’s what I’m there for! Certain circumstances are not covered by my guarantee, including, but not limited to tardiness due to inclement weather/adverse traffic conditions, illness or injury of any animals involved in the act, specific tricks or routines. If you have any questions regarding my guarantee, feel free to contact me!”
